As Part of the Vision Sports Zero Limits Track Day, Labour Cllr Declan Meenagh who is visually impaired got behind the steering wheel for charity in Mondello Park!

“I am visually impaired and have lived with 5 per cent sight for all my life. My sight is like looking through a straw, and I need a white cane to go around. Vision Sports provide great supports across the country for people to get involved in sports in their own community. So that’s whey I went down to Mondello Park earlier this week and partook of a Vision Sport Zero Limits event!”
The councillor for Cabra/Glasnevin continued: “For people losing their sight there are still lots of options for staying active. From Parkrun with volunteer guides to blind tennis and from blind football to blind golf, there are clubs all around the country taking steps to ensure everyone is included in sport.
“So hence, I took to the wheel at Mondello Park and this is why I am encouraging everyone to visit visionsports.ie and donate, and if you have low vision or are blind, stay active.”
