Dublin City Council is backing two Dublin companies set to showcase their talents at one of the country’s largest international trade fairs.

Showcase Ireland, Ireland’s Creative Expo will move to a new innovative Virtual Showroom format from 25 – 29 January.

Stork & Co and Sandia, both Dublin companies set up in 2017, are hoping to make a big impression on retail buyers through Showcase Ireland.

Stork & Co, founded by sisters Sophie Cafolla and Vicky O’Dwyer, design and manufacture modern baby clothes and accessories.

Sandia, set up by Venezuelan designer Betzy Nina, designs unique jewellery and accessories. The Local Enterprise Office Dublin City will continue to work with these two companies throughout 2021.

Greg Swift of LEO Dublin City said: “The use of virtual showrooms has become an essential part of doing business in the last year, especially for small businesses who would have relied heavily on large-scale trade and consumer events for sales.

“Thanks to this year’s Virtual Showrooms at Showcase, LEO clients can launch new collections and arrange meetings with buyers from around the globe, direct from their studio or workshop.”

Exhibitors have been fully equipped via a specially developed Masterclass in Virtual Trading, including how to set up a visually appealing online showroom, managing a virtual meeting, storytelling and how to trade effectively in a virtual setting.

The Showcase Ireland website will be updated as a Source Guide for buyers and will offer a B to B facility for B to B enabled Showcase clients.

The Digital Catalogue for the Showcase Virtual Showrooms is available to view here.
