Dublin GAA fans and GAA followers are invited to Smithfield Square this evening to celebrate the Dublin’s senior football team winning the All-Ireland championship against Kerry yesterday in a thrilling, quality display of Gaelic skills.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin Daithí de Róiste and Dublin City Council will host a special event for the team, along with backroom staff, Dublin County GAA Board and of course, the huge following of blue fans!

The event will commence from 6.30pm this evening, with entertainment provided before the victorioux team takes to the stage to be welcomed by MC Marty Morrissey.

A night of celebration engulfed the capital last night, after the Dubs defeated hotly favoured Kerry by two points at Croke Park.

Access to Smithfield Square is from North King Street, Friary Avenue and Thundercut Alley. Those attending are asked to follow the event signage and stewards’ instructions.
Dublin City Council is asking people to use public transport when travelling to and from the event, which is a family-friendly alcohol-free event note, alcohol free event!
