The Dalkey Lobster Festival returned to the historic, south Dublin coastal town after a three year hiatus due to covid.

The festival combined culinary demos and exquisite dining with live music, and street entertainment, and artisan exhibits. It is expected that over 6,000kg of lobster will be served over the festival weekend.

Over the course of the festival weekend, a host of familiar faces took to the Main Stage within the Lobster Village, located in The Tramyard, to demo their favourite seafood recipes, share their expertise and have some fun. Prominent chefs, Derry Clarke, JP McMahon, Mark Moriarty and Arun Kapil were  joined by Newstalk’s Dr Ciara Kelly, broadcaster and journalist Lorraine Keane, former international rugby legends Shane Byrne and Fergus McFadden and FM104 presenter of The Juice, Sean Munsanje

Breast Cancer Ireland is the charity partner this year and many of its ambassadors and friends are getting ready to play their part in galvanizing the local community to help raise much-needed funds.

International Chef Mark Moriarty, presenteed Clodagh Walsh with the trophy for “winner of the Junior Chef 2022”.
