Council launches tourism and festival grant

South Dublin County Council has announced the launch of the Tourism Event and Festival Grant 2024, writes Rachel Cunningham.

The grant is targeted at organisations and event organisers who plan to hold a public event or festival within South Dublin County Council’s administrative area.

The aim of the scheme is to fund innovative events or festivals to add value to the county’s tourism product, Dublin’s Outdoors, and to grow the visitor economy.

The maximum grant available is €7,500 and directly linked to the number of spectators from outside the county or overseas. 

Up to €60,000 has been allocated for this year’s scheme. Applications are now being accepted.
