[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Mayor of South Dublin County Mark Ward presented 14 Community Endeavour Awards at a ceremony on Saturday 1st December at the Red Cow Moran’s Hotel.

The Awards aim to acknowledge, promote and recognise the work of community and voluntary organisations within the administrative area of South Dublin County Council.

173 entries were received from a wide variety of groups operating in the local community and an independent judging panel assessed each entry.

There is an immense richness and variety of voluntary organisations working in South Dublin and this initiative aims to recognise the efforts of those who carry out this valuable work.

All community organisations whose activities have made a difference in their community and had a beneficial effect on residents were eligible to enter.

Among the winners announced on the night were: Tommy Keogh who won Volunteer of the Year; Jim Gavin & The Dublin Senior Gaelic Football Team who won a Special Recognition Award and Lucan Festival Committee who won the Overall Community Endeavour Award 2018.

The full list of winners can be found on the SDCC website.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
