RediResi Ireland has delivered 27 refurbished homes in Round Gardens, Citywest, to South Dublin County Council, as part of a first phase of delivery, writes Rachel Cunningham.

John Hickie, head of finance for RediResi Ireland, said: “These units, when purchased, were in a dilapidated and derelict state and RediResi’s team extensively refurbished them and made them safe to modern fire regulations and significantly upgraded the Building Energy Rating (BER) of each unit.

“Our expert team of in-house advisers work to resolve complex problems that can often exist with derelict second-hand homes. These issues can be structural, legal or be other problems that we work to resolve.”

He highlighted the importance of this work, as it reduces the potential for issues once the units are delivered to local authorities for the purpose of social housing provision. In an effort to help to tackle Ireland’s social housing waiting lists, RediResi Ireland has now delivered 215 housing units.
