A new charity fundraising initiative, ‘You Give, We Give’, has been launched nationwide this week.
All proceeds raised from the initiative, by Circle K, will go directly to Children’s Health Foundation Temple Street and Crumlin.
For the month of December, all customers who purchase a ‘Simply Great Coffee’ in a Circle K store (excluding Circle K Express) will be invited to donate 10c extra to the price. Circle K will match every donation made and at least €40,000 in much needed funds will be raised for Children’s Health Foundation by the end of the month.
Children’s Health Foundation brings the existing hospital foundations together and raises funds for the work that the teams at CHI hospitals and urgent care centres do every day.
From funding essential equipment, patient and parental supports to producing new paediatric research and services like new incubators, ward upgrades, music and play therapy activities, the donations that the Children’s Health Foundation receives from the public makes this possible.
Eadaoin Keane, Senior Marketing Manager at Circle K Ireland, said: “Covid-19 has had a detrimental impact on the charity sector this year and organisations like the Children’s Health Foundation need our support more than ever, so we are delighted to extend our help to such an important cause.
“The work of Children’s Health Foundation is vital to funding the services CHI hospitals and care centres provide to young patients and their families. Supporting our ‘You Give, We Give’ initiative is simple – just donate an extra 10c with every purchase of a Simply Great Coffee this month and we will match it to help make a difference to patients in need.”
Denise Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of the Children’s Health Foundation added: ‘’We are thrilled to gain the support of Circle K, an iconic brand that do so much to support communities nationwide.
“I would like to extend a big thank you to Circle K staff across Ireland for driving the ‘You Give, We Give’ initiative as this campaign will make a big difference to CHI patients and their families, reminding them of the support and kindness of others on their treatment journey. Thank you so much to everyone involved’.”
