Butlers Chocolates, Ireland’s premier family-owned chocolate-makers, have signed a new ten-year lease at Blanchardstown Centre, expanding the current store to 1,500 sq ft, writes Rose Barrett.
The new store and café will provide more seating space and an enhanced customer experience, located on Level One of the Centre, right next to Brown Thomas and Marks & Spencer’s. The company was first established in Dublin’s Lad Lane in 1932, founded by a pioneering woman called Marion Butler. The company is one of the few remaining family-owned chocolate producers in the market.
Blanchardstown Centre is Dublin’s largest retail and leisure destination, spanning over 1.1m sq ft. The centre acts as a key community focal point and attracts high visitor numbers from Dublin and surrounding counties, with an annual footfall of over 16m!. The recent announcement reflects the centre’s ongoing appeal for top-quality brands and follows signings for ZARA, FLANNELS, Nike Unite and Bershka.
Sharon Walsh, Leasing Director at Falcon AM, asset managers for Blanchardstown Centre, commented: “Our food and beverage offer is central to visitor experience – and a key footfall driver – so we always work hard to keep it fresh and compelling. Butlers is loved by all and exactly the type of name we want here at the centre.”
