Baldoyle Community Centre was delighted with the wonderful launch last week with Joan and Heidi of the Elephant In The Room Movement, writes Rose Barrett. This campaign is raising awareness on #mentalhealth.
Hosted by founder/ambassador Brent Pope and Charlie Bird who both spoke so bravely about their own experiences and on the need to be kind and understanding with anyone coping with mental health issues.
Guests got to meet our local Artist, Karen McSweeney Art who will be painting the elephant.

Baldoyle Community Hall is the first in the county to officially adopt one of these baby elephants and so far, the only community centre in the country to have one.
If your company wants to adopt one in support of The Samaritans, then do contact the Elephant In The Room Movement on FB. A huge ‘Thank You’ must go to CreativeIrl and Fingal Community Development Office for their support and funding. Keep an eye on Baldoyle Community Hall’s face on FB – they will keep you posted the elephant’s arrival to Baldoyle
