The annual Breast Cancer Ireland fundraising Christmas lunch, held at Marco Pierre White’s Restaurant in Donnybrookm was kindly supported by Very – Ireland’s leading online retailer – as part of a three year partnership with the charity.
Over 150 friends and supporters of the Breast Cancer Ireland community gathered together to celebrate the milestones, treatment breakthroughs and research achievements of the charity to date this year and to help fundraise for further critical research, education and awareness programmes.
Guests enjoyed a pre lunch drinks reception sponsored by Xin Gin, a Very festive fashion show, showcasing looks for festive and Winter season directed by well known stylist Cathy O’Connor, and a Very skincare and beauty talk from Sinead Kavanagh of The Beautiful Truth.
Spotted at the lunch were Elaine Crowley ,Sallyanne Clarke, Zeinab Elguzouli ,Audrey Hamilton BCI CEO Aisling Hurley, Norah Casey, Fiona Fagan and Vladamir Sax who performed on the Saxophone at the pre reception prior to lunch being served.
Following this, guests enjoyed a panel discussion led by Elaine Crowley, Breast Cancer Ireland Ambassador, where Patient Supporters Lauren Magee and Chris Coughlan shared their own very personal experience of breast cancer and their remarkable resilience in the face of the disease. The festivities continued well into the evening, kicking off the Christmas season in style!
