Three New Properties Unveiled at Blue Book Gathering in Virginia Park Lodge

A host of Ireland’s foodie and hospitality elite gathered in Virginia Park Lodge, County Cavan recently for the announcement of three new members to Ireland’s Blue Book in 2022. 

Cashel Palace Hotel in Tipperary, Browns Bonds Hill in Derry and private rental property, The Wicklow Escape in Wicklow were added, bringing to 59 the total number of properties in this exquisite collection. 

Amongst the guests in attendance were Catherine and Kevin DundonSallyanne and Derry ClarkeDarina Allen, and Richard Corrigan and his sister Deirdre. CEO of Ireland’s Blue Book, Michelle Maguire was on hand to greet the new members along with incoming chairperson, Joe O’Flynn who commented  “I’m thrilled to welcome these fine new properties to our Blue Book family. I would also  like to sincerely thank our loyal guests for their continued support of the Blue Book this year”.

Set in the foothills of the West Wicklow Mountains, The Wicklow Escape offers an immersive, culinary experience fronted by head chef Danni Barry. The 7 luxuriously rustic garden rooms step out into an acre of woodlands with mountain views, a perfect escape for lovers of food, nature and hillwalking.

Richard and Deirdre served their discerning guests a mouth-watering selection of delicious canapés and fresh oysters served with Gosset Champagne.
