Ballymun Kickhams GAA Club has sent condolences following the news of the death of its former games promotion officer, writes Rachel Cunningham.
Taking to social media, the GAA club wrote on Facebook: “We are all deeply saddened by the news today of the passing of Larry McDermott, our former GPO. Larry was our first ever GPO that we shared with Ballymun Setanta and, as such, was the man who laid the markers and standards for all who followed him since.
“Always jovial, gentlemanly and eager to help, Larry was a significant contributor to our burgeoning juvenile section at the time. We would like to extend our sympathies to all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.”
