A charity match between Ballyfermot United and a team of former League of Ireland all-stars took place at 2pm last Saturday, in aid of two young football fans who have been diagnosed with leukaemia, Caiden Molloy (6) and Keilan O’Shea (9), writes Rachel Cunningham.

The crowd cheered loudest for the boys’ arrival, along with their families, as they rolled up as VIPs to the match in Coldcut, on Prison Road in Ballyfermot, in a black hummer that had been donated by Absolute Limos.

In addition to the match, a GoFundme has been set-up to raise vital funds in aid of the boys’ treatment. Those wishing to make a donation can follow the link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/ptvrhy-ballyfermot-united-charity-match.
