It’s been a busy few months for St Mary’s Secondary School which recently won an award for the best social media posts in the Bank of Ireland sponsored regional Money Smarts Challenge final.
“Posts had to be tagged with #BOIMONEYSMARTS and ours proved to be extremely popular,” said John Moore, Deputy Principal at St Mary’s.

“We had three teams, each with four students, competing and all 12 members won a very desirable €20 voucher each for Penney’s and were presented with a certificate.”
The Deputy Principal continued: “One of our mini companies, Totes4You, won the Best Presentation Award in this year’s Fingal Student Enterprise Programme Awards Final. Totes4You was set up by Hannah Kaye Ricablanca and Ceire Ferl Del Poso and they made personalised tote bags
“The presentation was made online and the judges were highly impressed with how both Hannah and Ceire presented what their company made, their marketing strategies and online presence. This is a highly prestigious award and congratulations are due to Hannah and Ceire.”

Mace Baldoyle was acknowledged for sponsoring the school’s annual sports day which took place last Friday at Suttonians Rugby Club.
