Members of Balbriggan Swimming Socks are organising a ‘Big Beach Clean’ event on Saturday, September 16. This will also serve as a fundraiser for Kildare Wildlife Rescue which regularly attends distressed and injured sea birds and wildlife along Dublin’s coastline.
Balbriggan Swimming Socks have been prolific in highlighting continued pollution issues at Balrbriggan Harbour and strand in recent years and organised a recent march calling on quicker action from the authorities to address the repeated incidents of water pollution.

The club invites everyone to join them on Sunday 16 and to meet at 10am at the steps to the Front Strand, and for the mega annual Cake Sale thereafter!
“Kildare Wildlife Rescue put so much effort into rescuing and saving wildlife in our communities, please please support our cake bakon the day! All support will be appreciated” said a spokesperson for the swimming club.

Let’s hope the weather stays kind! See full details on Balbriggan Swimming Socks Instagram page @balbriggan_swimming_socks-
