Localised showers predicted for Dublin today, with southerly winds and mild temps

While heavy and possibly thundery outbreaks are predicted across the western half of the country for later today, Dublin and the eastern region will face slightly milder weather.

South Leinster will experience some intense flooding and disruption.

For Dublin, Met Eireann predict highest temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees, mildest early in the east, with moderate to fresh southerly winds easing through the day. Widespread showers or longer spells of rain today with some locally heavy falls. Localised flooding and some disruption is possible. Highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees, mildest early, with fresh southerly winds easing through the afternoon.


Rain will clear east early tonight, followed by drier interludes, clear spells and a scattering of showers. Lowest temperatures of around 8 degrees with some mist and fog patches developing in light to moderate southerly winds.Tomorrow

Sunny spells on Tuesday morning but showers will become widespread through the late afternoon and evening hours. Highest temperatures of 12 or 13 degrees in mostly moderate southwest to west winds.
