Father of well known Oscar nominated actor Paul Mescal joins the cast of “Are ya Dancin'” in a supporting role which will be showing at the Civic Theatre in Tallaght 13th-15th July.
Paul Mescal Snr is getting ready to tread the boards as he has joined the Naas-based theatre company A Likely Story.
Directed and Co-Written by two local Ladies, Helen Spring and Carol Gleeson – Under the creative mentorship of well known director Michael Scott this musical masterpiece promises to be a sell out sensation. “Are ya Dancin'” comes to The Civic Theatre in Tallaght for three nights.


The sell-out, smash hit ARE YA DANCIN’? – A Showband Story makes its’ highly anticipated return to The Civic this summer. Boasting an impressive thirty-piece cast – featuring a LIVE BAND – this nostalgic show, which includes hits such as “The Hucklebuck”, “Rock Around the Clock” and “From the Candystore On the Corner” will have you dancing in the aisles.
Set in Donegal in the 1960’s golden era of music, the story follows the unassuming Tommy O’Neill, a young man who finds himself at the helm of an up-and-coming showband. Get ready to join him on his journey and relive the magic of the past through a host of memorable characters.
Under the creative guidance of renowned director Michael Scott, this musical play is revamped and ready to ready to rock. Written and directed by A Likely Story Productions co-founders Carol Gleeson and Helen Spring, the show continues its hugely successful run having wowed audiences throughout the country pre-Covid.
