The winners of the Kube Design Competition for Griffith College Interior Architecture students have been announced. Kube is also delighted to offer internships to three Interior Architecture students at Griffith College.

Kube collaborated with Gwen Kenny, Interior Design lecturer at the Interior Architecture Faculty at Griffith College on a real-life design and fitout proposal for their showroom at Beacon South Quarter, Dublin. Gwen’s Interior Architecture students were tasked with blending creativity, practicality and an understanding of user experience to design a showroom which immerses customers into a captivating journey.

“We briefed the students on the challenges around designing a space that showcases our kitchens, inspires customers with the latest design ideas but also makes it a comfortable, enjoyable and informative experience. We were really impressed with what these young people created. They incorporated our requirements into their designs but also came up with fresh, innovative ideas that we will definitely take on board” said Pat McGrath, Managing Director, Kube.

Lorna Brophy and Arnold Przadka were announced as winners of the Kube Design Competition and both are being awarded internships at the kitchen company along with third student Harim Dianiongi.

“I am immensely proud of all the students for their dedication and creativity in applying universal design principles and user experience design to meet the needs of both staff and customers. Their thorough research and innovative solutions have truly shone through. It’s wonderful to see them applying themselves to real-life projects and presenting to corporate clients. Learning is not just about the curriculum but also about preparing for real-world applications.

“A special thank you to Kube for providing this opportunity. Congratulations to the winners, and well done to everyone for their outstanding efforts”. says Gwen Kenny, lecturer in Interior Design & Architecture, Griffith College.
