When launched in 2010, the original Nissan JUKE set the bar for compact crossovers through its distinctive personality, and emphasis on fun.

Now a decade later, the second-generation JUKE is set to reinvent the segment once again. The all-new JUKE delivers new levels of performance and technology, within a striking yet roomier coupe crossover body.

Athletic Design:

The new JUKE boasts larger dimensions and an athletic stance, striking colour combinations, and a coupe-style ‘floating roof’ design. Equipped with full LED lighting technology as standard, the latest JUKE retains its iconic circular headlamps with a new Y-shaped signature, which complements Nissan’s V-Motion grille.

Spacious Cabin & Boot:

The new JUKE is roomier for both passengers and their belongings, with rear-seat knee room increased by 5.8 cm, rear head room by 1.1 cm and a boot capacity of 422 litres – providing 20% more storage room.

Petrol Power:

The JUKE is powered by an efficient 1.0-liter three-cylinder DIG-T turbocharged petrol engine with 117PS (115bhp), giving drivers improved performance, fuel economy and refinement.

Available with an engaging 6-speed manual or sporty 7-speed dual-clutch (DCT) paddle-shift transmission, and a driving mode selector (Eco, Standard, Sport), drivers can effortlessly match their driving style to any driving scenario for maximum fun on the road.

Connectivity & Infotainment:

With the new NissanConnect infotainment system (model dependent), occupants can use Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto to mirror their favourite smartphone apps on the 8-inch touch screen display. Drivers can also access TomTom Maps & Live Traffic or activate their In-Car WiFi to allow passengers connecting their laptops or tablets.

The NissanConnect Services app is the perfect mobile companion, offering customers control over multiple aspects of their car.

Specification Options:

There are five trim levels to choose from in the new Nissan JUKE – XE, SV, SV Premium, SVE and N-Design – with prices ranging from €21,595 to €26,550, representing terrific value for money.

Producing 115bhp and 200Nm of torque, the 999cc petrol engine can complete the 0-100km/h sprint in 10.4-seconds, reach a top speed of 180km/h, and consume as little as 5.9-litres of fuel for every 100km’s driven on a combined driving cycle. Thanks to CO2 emissions of 136g/km, annual road tax is just €200.

Car on Review:

My review car was a Nissan JUKE N-Design, which looked amazing in striking Pearl White premium metallic paint, with contrasting black roof, side sills and mirror covers (Black Exterior Pack).

Offering a new level of personalisation, the all-new N-Design grade ensures that customers can truly make their JUKE their own.

Multiple colour combinations for body, roof and interior upholstery are available – bringing out the urban, premium and sporty character of the JUKE.

Key standard features include 19” alloy wheels, ISOFIX on passenger seat, heated front seats, rear privacy glass, automatic air-conditioning, rear parking sensors, rear view camera, LED front foglamps, steering wheel mounted voice recognition button and power folding door mirrors.

Verdict:

Overall, the all-new Nissan JUKE is a hugely impressive compact crossover in every respect.

Sharp lines, dramatic lights, and intriguing design accents provide terrific visual drama, while a comfortable and spacious interior, combined with a frugal and sporty engine ensure driving thrills on the move.

If you are ready to make a statement, the leading-edge design of new Nissan JUKE is unlike anything else on the road.
