The Great Irish History Book lives up to its name as you read about the people who have shaped the Irish society we have today.

History of course is a big subject and this is a big book. For a parent wanting to get their child to both hold a book and read a book this is the perfect book, and that is before it is explored.

From pre-historic Ireland to a million years of history quiz at the back this book keeps your interest all the way

Not only is it an educational book for children but it is also a refresher of Irish History for adults.

RTE presenter Myles Dungan is also a historian who has the ability to send you back through the ages with illustrations and descriptions which makes this read both understandable and educational.

Lorcan Rafferty an eleven and a half year old from sixth class in Rath National School loved the book because it “really help him with his school project,” while he also admired the illustrations.

Definitely a hit with children and parents.

Great Irish History Book, written by-Myles Dungan and Illustrated by Alan Dunne is published by Gill Books @ 24.99 and is available in all good bookshops.
