Food delivery company Deliveroo will launch today in Tallaght, Clondalkin & Citywest, meaning that locals can now order food from a range of restaurants.
Deliveroo is an app and website that will enable Tallaght locals to check out local food in their area. They will be working with independent restaurants like Peachtree East, Kundan Tandoori, Choices Chinese and also favourites like Wing It, Mao at Home, Subway, Abrakebabra and Leo Burdocks.
The launch will be a major boost to small restaurant businesses across Tallaght who will be able to reach new customers and grow their restaurant businesses through offering delivery.
More than 20 jobs will be created for local people in Tallaght, mostly in Deliveroo drivers positions, over the first year.
Michael Healy, General Manager of Deliveroo Ireland, said: “Launching in Tallaght is a key milestone for Deliveroo. Tallaght has a thriving food scene and a wide range of restaurants, so we’re excited to connect them.
“We look forward to working with our new restaurant partners to reach a new customer base and expand their businesses. Deliveroo will also create work for 20 local riders and is thrilled to offer a flexible role to the community.”
