EirGrid, operator and developer of the national electricity grid, will be hosting a series of Energy Citizens Roadshows across Dublin this month.

The five free events will provide information on how EirGrid plans to future-proof the electricity grid in the capital. Attendees will also be able speak to cross-industry specialists, including representatives from the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), ESB Networks and Dublin’s energy efficiency agency, Codema.

The event will cover such topics as renewable energy developments, sustainable energy communities, microgeneration and what they mean for Dublin.

“These are part of a multi-year series of events aimed at informing local communities on how EirGrid plans to future-proof the electricity grid, as well as providing information about microgeneration, home energy upgrades and retrofitting grants, and regional development opportunities”, said Sinead Dooley, head of public engagement at EirGrid.

The events will be held in Ringsend, East Wall, Inchicore, Finglas and Ballyogan during October.

People wishing to attend the roadshows can register at eirgrid.ie/roadshows or if they have any questions, they can be emailed to [email protected].
