The eir VIP Power of Women Awards 2022 took place in the Marker Hotel in Dublin.
The annual awards strive to honour and celebrate Ireland’s world-class female entrepreneurs. Founded in 2021 ,this year eir came on board as title sponsor.
Business owners and nominees ,Suzanne Jackson Aimee Connolly and Kathryn Thomas were among the 200 people gathered at the Marker, where twelve awards were handed out to female entrepreneurs in the fields of fashion, beauty, wellness, digital & tech, sustainability, hair care, public relations and more.
Other notable guests included MC Maia Dunphy, TV, broadcaster Laura Fox, and journalists Triona McCarthy and Louise McSharry. Glenda Gilson , Dominique Nugent, Holly Carpenter and Erica Cody also appeared.
Vicki Notaro commented that the awards have grown exponentially since their pandemic start. “We conceived of this event deep in lockdown, admiring the tough businesswomen we saw not only persevering, but even starting brand new businesses in an incredibly difficult climate. I’m thrilled to have a huge Irish business like eir partner with us on year two, and also to work with so many major international brands on this event like Meta, Alfa Romeo, Boots and Dyson.
Guests were treated to a Malfy cocktail reception, a specially-designed three course lunch by executive chef Gareth Mullins accompanied by Casillero Del Diablo wines, and goodie bags including sponsor brands Lancome, John Frieda, Lindt, Great Lengths, Penneys and AYA.
