Dublin City Council has announced the return of ‘The Wood Quay Summer Sessions’, but this year’s twist is that you’ll be able to enjoy them from the comfort of your own home.
For the sixth successive year, the city council is providing a month of high quality free entertainment for the people of Dublin.
The event is going virtual due to Covid-19 but it’s still the same great Summer Sessions, just a different format.

“I am delighted to support ‘The Wood Quay Summer Sessions’. I’m a fan of live music myself and I know it’s one of the many areas that has been badly hit since we all went into lockdown,” said Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu.
The first concert in this year’s series will be available from 1pm – 2pm on www.facebook.com/woodquaysummersessions on July 9th and features Jazz outfit ‘Big Spoon’. If you miss the concert at 1pm don’t worry as all the concerts will be available to view on Dublin City Council’s You Tube Channel.
‘The Wood Quay Summer Sessions’ was founded by Dublin City Council in 2015, in association with First Music Contact, Improvised Music Company, Contemporary Music Centre & Music Network.
