and tackling crime

The launch of Building Community Resilience Project Review was hosted last week at the F2 Community Centre, writes Rose Barrett.

Cllr Daithí Doolan, Chair of the Joint Policing Committee (JPC) and SF councillor for Ballyfermot-Drimnagh, said: “Last week’s launch of the Building Community Resilience Project Review is a hugely positive event.

“Building Community Resilience is a great partnership approach to tackling the causes and consequences of crime in Dublin South Central.

“It is a unique and ground-breaking model involving the community, Dublin City Council, gardaí, he Department of Justice, Drug Task Forces, Túsla and CETEB.

“I am delighted to confirm the key stakeholders have agreed to support and fund the work for a further three years. This will allow the project to carry on the essential work of tackling serious crime and anti-social behaviour.”
