South Dublin County Council is now accepting applications for funding of projects which qualify as anti-litter or anti-graffiti awareness schemes, writes Rachel Cunningham.

This initiative will focus on voluntary initiatives by community and environmental groups and aims to involve schools and young people in the awareness actions.

The applications should promote public awareness and education regarding litter and/or graffiti.

Further information and an application form can be obtained online at www.sdcc.ie  or from the Environmental Awareness Section, South Dublin County Council.

Applications must be made no later than 5pm on Friday, September 22.
