Coláiste Dhúlaigh College of Further Education has issued an open invitation for its Open Day on Thursday March 2.
Prospective students are advised that they do not need CAO points to do a course, just a willingness to learn. Interested parties can attend the event between 12 and 7pm on the Coolock campus.
Post Leaving Certificate and mature students alike are welcome to apply.
The day promises an action-packed programme of events, including interactive workshops and demonstrations from staff and students. There will be activities such as t-shirt printing, personality tests, mobile journalism, hair styling, taste-testing, massage, flower arranging and much more.
CDCFE offers over 60 Post Leaving Certificate Courses, ranging from animation to art portfolio, barbering to business and psychology to science.
The college’s disability support and guidance counselling services will also be on hand to answer any questions about learner supports and funding, while potential students will also be able to find out about Erasmus+ opportunities.
Coláiste Dhúlaigh CFE offers courses at QQI Levels 4, 5 and 6, traineeships, apprenticeships, entrepreneurships, in addition to Bachelor of Arts degrees in drama, animation, and film production.
Excellent progression routes to university are also offered at Coláiste Dhúlaigh CFE. Many courses are one-year long and lead directly to a college place through CAO round zero.
Students can beat exam stress by opting for continuous assessment and can benefit from the academic and industry experience of CDCFE’s tutors.
CDCFE has three main campuses, based in Coolock, Raheny and Kilbarrack, all with excellent transport links. The Shackleton Outdoor Education course do their water-based activities in Broadmeadows, Malahide Estuary.
