Natural cosmetics brand Clarins has launched a €1m Boutique and Spa in Dublin’s Wicklow Street, the first of its kind in either Ireland or the UK.
The Dublin City Centre destination has created an initial ten jobs and offers customised expert treatments for the face and body as well as an enhanced Clarins range.
“We intend this to be a landmark boutique retail concept and destination in Dublin city centre, where you can enjoy the full Clarins experience with our trained experts,” said Clarins Managing Directolivier Courtin, who opened the boutique and spa.
“The brand has confidence and has invested in a bricks and mortar service-led boutique and spa which will complement our nationwide partner network and will be a destination for Clarins customers.
“The pandemic affected our ability to offer our customers the full brand experience, but people want contact again.
“They want to elevate their experience and enjoy services for women and men that they can’t find anywhere else.
“We have opened similar boutique destinations around the globe in the past few years, a number in Asia and the Middle East, three in Paris, and outlets in Lyon, Bordeaux, Antwerp and Switzerland.”

The Spa utilises a range of Clarins Pro products, with plant enriched formulas.
The experience begins from the moment the customer enters the boutique, with face-to-face skincare consultations and complimentary express beauty and wellness treatments.
The Clarins Beauty Therapists, or estheticians, use the same methods developed by the brand founder Jacques Courtin Clarins back in 1954. Clarins beauty therapists are trained by a team in Paris.
The estheticians mix product formulas together to personalise the Spa Treatment and target any specific additional customer needs.
The science of touch is at the heart of Clarins spa treatments, which consist of 90 different hand movements, for the ultimate wellness and beauty result.
Each movement can produce different benefits depending on the weight of the hand in contact with the skin.
The large range of treatments start at five to 15 minutes flash expert services on specific areas with open skin spa treatments ranging from 30 minutes to an hour.
Full treatments will take place in one of the boutique’s two luxurious skin spa cabins where Jacques Courtin’s vision comes to life with the customer waking after a relaxing treatment surrounded by a beautiful blue sky, enhancing their feeling of relaxation and wellbeing.
After the treatment, the customer is recommended suitable retail products to prolong its benefits.
In keeping with Clarins’ carbon neutral status, the Wicklow Street boutique build, by Donegal firm Ashley Martin, uses sustainable materials throughout, with a heavy emphasis on wood and recycled plastics.
