Marking a significant milestone in its 49 year history,  Armatile officially opened its brand new, 15,0000 sq ft showroom in Baldoyle, Dublin. Irish rugby legend, Rory Best performed the official opening, with MC Garry Cohn leading invited guests through the afternoon’s celebrations

Over €4m has been invested in the acquisition and fit-out of the impressive purpose-built showroom in Baldoyle Industrial Estate, which was meticulously designed by award-winning designer, Garry Cohn; and boasts a state-of-the-art design library that features an extensive array of tile samples that showcase the versatility and quality that define Armatile products.

Operating since 1975, Armatile is a family-owned business that employs almost 100 people across its existing retail showrooms in Armagh, Belfast and Newry, and now, with the new Dublin showroom, further job creation is expected in the next three to four years.

Speaking at last week’s opening in Dublin, Armatile Founder and Chairman, Seamus McCann explained: “Our new facility provides tangible evidence of our long-term confidence in the Irish marketplace. We have supplied Armatile products to many projects across Ireland over the years. A Dublin expansion has been in our plans for some time. We were simply waiting to find the right premises in the right location, allowing for easy access from across the country.

“Our vision was to make this new showroom amongst the best in Europe in terms of design and visitor experience, where customers will be taken on a journey through a myriad of different interior design and external landscaping options, from format tiles to authentic wood effect tiles, and landscape transforming porcelain paving.”

In the early 2000s, Armatile invested in its manufacturing and fabrication facility in Armagh that has enabled it to design and create its bespoke and award-winning tile surface solutions using waterjet cutting technology, laser etching technologies, and artisan mosaic assembling, which have been supplied to projects in Dubai, France, USA, Canada, Nigeria, Switzerland, Australia, and Russia, as well as throughout the UK and Ireland.
