Last April a public call was made inviting people living in Dublin 15 to learn how to play a brass instrument. In addition to learning music, ‘Brass for Blanchardstown Action Together’also aimed to provide fun, recreation, and social experiences.

The programme was led by the Musical Director, Zdenek Ondrousek and extensively supported by experienced volunteer Band members.

Weekly music lessons spanning six months took place in the Bandroom located in Blanchardstown village, along with the hard work and commitment from eleven participants, has led to a celebrative graduation concert which will take place in Draiocht Blanchardstown on Thursday 17 November 2022 at 8pm.

The concert will be free and will include a wide selection of popular music including ABBA, James Bond, Duke Ellington, Queen, Henry Mancini and much more.

The concert is a key event celebrating Fingal Social Inclusion Week 2022 and the project was funded by Fingal County Council Community Development Office.

Tickets must be booked on www.draiocht.ie
