More hassle for Aer Lingus customers this morning as the airline has posted several tweets over the past 15 hours acknowledging problems. The airline’s IT communication system went completely down the weekend before last, leaving passengers stranded at airports across Europe and causing major confusion at Dublin Airport.

The airline also incurred some cancellations last week owing to a strike by French air control workers.

“We are aware that some customers are again experiencing issues managing their bookings and checking in online,” tweeted Aer Lingus this morning.

“Our teams are working to resolve this as soon as possible. Check-in at the airport remains available for all customers.”

The airline apologised profusely but assures customers this would not impact on flights departing/arriving at Dublin Airport today.
