Irish motor car distributors flocked in big numbers to test the appetite for new cars among the huge audience at this year’s National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore. The motor companies also used the occasion to test the market appetite for electric, hybrid and petrol cars. There were plenty of offers on view to tempt drivers away from the diesel option, the rural market that dominates events such as the ploughing championships will take some persuading to abandon diesel power, in the short term at least.
Here we look at some of the new cars that appeared at the impressive national event.
