Cool autumn vibes at H&M

by Gazette Reporter

DUBLIN is getting ready for H&M’s newest outlet to open on College Green. So as we wait in anticipation, Gazette Style caught up with top fashion stylist, Courtney Smith (right) – who collaborated with the high-street brand during Dublin Fashion Festival – to take us through her top picks from their latest collection.
She said: “H&M has always been top of my high-street go-to shops – naturally, the affordability is a big appeal, but it’s mainly down to the unique designs that I don’t think are replicated elsewhere in the high-street market.
“There is always an element of a Bohemian style throughout many of their collections, which I simply love.
“This season, there are a few stand-out pieces that caught my eye. Anyone who knows me knows I am partial to the odd jumpsuit; it’s an outfit in one – what’s not to love?
“The conscious collection denim jumpsuit is to die for – it’s really soft, so sits relaxed on the body … Perfect for a cool daytime vibe,” said Smith.
“The soft khaki green colours they have in store are also perfect for autumn, from the silks shorts – which I would team with the shaggy cream cardigan – to the amazing silk and lace detail long-sleeve dress.
“Leather is something I always find strong at H&M, from the cool shorts – which are perfect when teamed with chunky knits – to these incredible statement leather trousers, which is a brand-new shape I haven’t seen anywhere else in leather.
“For something a little dressier, the heart-shaped neckline jumpsuit in bright red is sure to stop traffic, or if you are more about the accessories this season, I just love these statement blue ankle boots.”
