Garnier are now officially cruelty-free

Global beauty brand Garnier have announced they are now officially cruelty-free and they have been certified by Cruelty-Free International. This is a massive step for the brand who have been claiming they were cruelty-free for some time but didn’t have the certification to prove it. Since 1989 Garnier committed to end animal testing with the brand only now receiving the official recognition.

To gain this certification, a brand is subjected to rigorous testing and investigation, so once you see the leaping bunny logo you know you can trust it.

Garnier had to secure a declaration from more than 500 suppliers, who source more than 3,000 different ingredients from across the world. This certification is part of Garnier’s ‘Green Beauty’ initiative, which was launched last year.

The aim of the initiative is to reduce the brand’s environmental impact by using more renewable energy, greener science and using more recycled materials. The brand have said they want to lead the way in sustainable beauty that’s accessible to all. Getting this certification is a huge step forward for them in their goals.

Garnier are currently in the process of adding the leaping bunny logo to all it’s packaging however the brand has assured customers that even products still on sale without the logo, are still cruelty-free.
