A well-known Swords producer has featured in Aldi’s most recent multi-platform advertising campaign, writes Rose Barrett.
Martin Flynn of Flynn’s Tomatoes is one of four Irish producers selected as the face of Aldi’s new “Everyday Irish, Everyday Amazing” nationwide campaign, which highlights Aldi’s strong Irish sourcing commitment and longstanding partnerships with Irish farmers and producers.
The third generation of tomato growers, Flynn’s Tomatoes farm and glasshouses are located at Bealinstown near the busy suburb of Swords. They have worked with Aldi for over 7 years, suppling several varieties of Irish grown tomatoes including Aldi’s specially selected ‘Piccolo’ tomatoes. And this author can verify they are her favourite, absolutely delicious, sweet and succulent – the tastiest ever!
Aldi’s Group Buying Director, John Curtin noted: “Given the choice, our customers tell us they prefer to buy Irish as they like the guaranteed quality and want to support the local economy. Aldi partners with hundreds of local Irish food and drink producers to provide amazing groceries sold every day in our stores.”
Voiced by Oliver Callan, Aldi’s “Everyday Irish, Everyday Amazing” campaign will run across TV, radio, press, social media, digital channels and Aldi’s own weekly Specialbuys magazine.
