An artisan crisp brand based in Skerries, Clinton’s Crisps have this week rolled out their product nationwide.

Made by brothers Sean and Martin Clinton, the snack will be stocked at supermarkets and convenience stores across the country from this week.

Speaking on the announcement, Sean Clinton said: “We’re so excited that our small, home grown brand, Clintons Crisps, will now be stocked in supermarkets nationwide.

“With seven generations of farming expertise and using hand cooked methods, we believe our flavoursome crisps will surpass the taste test with crisp fans.”

Sean Clinton has over 25 years experience in the crisp and snack industry, whilst his brother Martin has a lifetime worth of experience growing potatoes on their family farm in Skerries.

Their family has lived in the Skerries area since the 1700s, originally supplying hay and potatoes to the Dublin markets, the Clintons put up one of the first haysheds in the parish before the turn of the century as well as also being the first to install a wind charger to generate electricity.

The brothers set up Loughbarn Farms in 2017 with the aim of producing the flavour-packed Clinton’s Crisps. The company began trading last August, and have gone from strength to strength since.

The crisps come in three flavours – seared steak, mature cheddar and red onion, as well as classic sea salt and vinegar. The crisps are also gluten free, with no preservatives or artificial flavourings.

Available in both individual packs and sharing packs, they will be available at €1.30 and €2.60 respectively.
