AVOCA cafe in Malahide has assured customers that its closure is only temporary.
The popular eatery at Malahide Castle and Gardens will reopen on Monday August 31.
In a statement they said: “Our Retail Store and Food Market at Avoca Malahide remain open seven days a week for all our customers to enjoy, however, the cafe will be temporarily closed for a two-week period from today, Monday 17th August until Monday 31st August.

“Avoca, like many other businesses in the retail sector has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. With continued trading uncertainty and the expectation for long-term effect on the sector, we are taking the necessary steps to protect the business.
“During this short period of closure, we will be putting in place operational measures to sustain the business long-term. We will also be taking the opportunity to carry out maintenance to our café during this time to give it a refresh in advance of reopening
“We want to let all our customers and friends know that this is closure is temporary and we will be reopening in two weeks’ time. We would like to thank you for all of your support and loyalty, and we look forward to welcoming you back! “
